What to expect from your preservation

Your flowers change as they are preserved, and each step takes its time. Here is what happens to your bouquet from your wedding night until your piece reaches you, so you can decide with everything clear.

Before you book

Send us a video of your bouquet or of the flowers you will use. It shows us the type of flower, its traits and its condition, and we recommend whether resin or a pressed-flower frame suits it better.

Succulents cannot be preserved. From the video we can tell you whether any other flower in your bouquet has limits.

When you book, we share how to pack and ship your bouquet, so on your wedding night you already know what to do.

Your wedding night

Leave your bouquet somewhere cool, with three or four fingers of water, about five centimeters covering the stems. Filling the container drowns it.

Stems in water, petals dry. Do not spray or wet the flowers: water on the petals rots them and turns them yellow. Hydrangea is the exception; that flower can take water before it ships.

How your bouquet reaches the atelier

Your bouquet has to reach the atelier within the first 72 hours after the event.

Within two hours of Atlixco, you bring it to the atelier, we collect it, or we meet halfway, depending on the atelier's availability that weekend.

Farther out, it travels by express courier with the packing method we give you when you book; transit takes 24 to 48 hours. The base of the stems is wrapped in damp cotton or paper towel, and no plastic goes over the petals. Shipping is on you and travels insured for its declared value.

At the atelier

When it arrives, we photograph your bouquet and check it flower by flower. Then we dry it according to whether it becomes a frame or a resin piece.

We send you three design proposals made with your flowers and you choose one; then we compose it by hand.

What changes when flowers are preserved

Colors change when flowers are preserved, and it is better to know before you decide. As they dry, white or pastel flowers can turn yellow or beige, or lose color.

In pressed-flower frames, color correction is included and works best on white and pastel flowers. Resin pieces do not have it yet.

If your flowers have already air-dried, they cannot take color correction and go into resin.

Resin can yellow over time.

How long it takes

Resin pieces take between 6 and 8 months, and pressed-flower frames between 4 and 6, depending on the season.

What happens if a piece runs late is in the Eternals terms.

How your piece reaches you

Your piece comes in an embroidered velvet pouch and a wooden box.

We let you know as soon as it is finished. Within two hours of the atelier, you pick it up there, we bring it to you, or we meet halfway, at no charge and depending on availability. Farther out, it travels with a tracking number and insured for its declared value; shipping is on you, and we confirm cost and conditions before it leaves.

If the piece is neither picked up nor cleared for shipping, the atelier holds it for six months from the day we notify you.
